O’Leno State Park is one of Florida’s original State Parks. It is located in High Springs, Florida. Dating back to the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps built this park as a retreat and way for the locals to get in touch with nature. The park features several natural landmarks such as sinkholes, rivers, sand hills, and much more. The river that runs through the park runs underground at a certain point and does not emerge until three miles later in River Rise Preserve State Park.
