Infringement Policy

rvResortScout is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We have adopted the following policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable laws.

Notice of Alleged Infridgement

If you believe that content posted on rvResortScout infringes on your copyright, you should send a written notice to our Copyright Agent at the following address:

Notice of Alleged Infridgement

  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
  • A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on rvResortScout;
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted work is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
Once we receive your notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it.

Counter-Notification

If a user believes that a material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled is not infringing, they may send a counter-notice to our Copyright Agent at the same address listed above. The counter-notice should include the following information:
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled;
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the user has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • The user’s name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement that the user consents to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located or, if the user’s address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which rvResortScout may be found;
  • A statement that the user will accept service of process from the person who provided notification or an agent of such person.

Repeat Infringers

rvResortScout will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers.
